Mr Isaac is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon based at Torbay Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and at Mount Stuart Hospital, Torbay. His field is principally in knee surgery and hip replacement surgery, with a specialist interest in knee injuries and primary and revision knee replacement surgery including the use of the Oxford unicompartmental (partial) knee replacement.Mr Isaac has several areas of research interest, including the accelerated rehabilitation of patients after joint replacement surgery. He has a special clinical interest in the use of the Oxford Unicompartmental Knee replacement, and in the management of cartilage and ligament injuries.

Academic Background:
Mr Isaac graduated from London University, and trained in South East England. He undertook a period of research at Oxford University into knee ligament injuries, and completed his training in Auckland, New Zealand, working with the surgical team responsible for the treatment of many of the All Blacks injuries. Here, he gained extensive experience in the management of knee conditions, and further training in orthopaedic trauma with an internationally respected trauma specialist. Following this, Mr Isaac undertook a specialist fellowship in Oxford, in the field of hip and knee replacement surgery.
