Mr Atiq R Babar

Mr Atiq R Babar is a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist. They offer both medical and surgical treatment for a wide range of eye conditions.

After qualifying with an MBBS, Mr Babar undertook Basic Specialist Training (BST) in Ophthalmology at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. They then became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Ed) in Ophthalmology. Following this, they completed five years of Higher Specialist Training (HST) in Ophthalmology at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC), Birmingham. In 1999, Mr Babar was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST). To further their knowledge, they undertook an 18-month Fellowship in Medical and Surgical Retinal Disorders at the Bristol Eye Hospital, Bristol.

Mr Babar is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
