Mr Andrew Richards is very professional, knowledgeable and experienced in what he does. He has great bedside manners, is a very good listener who happily takes the time to explain all details and answers all questions which made me feel at ease before and after surgery. I am extremely pleased that my recovery is progressing well. And what’s even better is that his PA Rachel Evans is always a phone call or email away.

This is the second operation Mr Andrew Richards has performed on me. One to join a bone that I had broken and secure it with a metal plate. This was a successful operation giving me 99% mobility. The recent operation was to take the metal plate out as the bone had mended to Mr Richards satisfaction. Not only do I appreciate the skill and expertise of Mr Richards as a surgeon but also his ability to relate to you and set sensible expectations. I am 100% happy with the outcome and I would highly recommend him to anyone I knew who needed a surgeon in his field of expertise.

I was treated by Mr Richards for a badly broken elbow a year ago. At my first consultation he explained clearly what needed to be done and his manner was cheerful, positive and encouraging. I had never been anaesthetised before and I was very anxious. He reassured me. My follow-up appointments with Mr Richards were very thorough and he recommended a very good physiotherapist. A year on the results of the surgery are excellent. I can straighten and bend my arm normally with no restriction or discomfort. The scar is hardly visible. I highly recommend Mr Richards.

My experience with Mr Richards was excellent. I saw him twice, for a shoulder fracture that had been quite traumatic and disabling. Both times he was caring, patient, reassuring, helpful, supportive, and encouraging. I felt well-informed and in excellent hands, understood what to expect going forward, what I could do myself and what treatment to seek from related professionals. He was happy to answer detailed questions and to give advice on a range of matters. His service was prompt and professional, as well as kind and friendly. Mr Richards was a huge help to me during a difficult and painful time, which I believe contributed positively to a good recovery. I highly recommend him to any prospective patients.

After six (6) months of suffering and complaining of excruciating pain in my right dominant shoulder. I was recommend to Dr. Richards, at this stage I had no range of motion (ROM), unable to dress myself or even comb my hair. My very first consultation with Dr. Richards, I was petrified and worried that there was no outcome for the relentless pain. Dr. Richards took time to ensure that I was comfortable, once at ease and after a thorough examination, he sat and explained my condition and the treatments available. I learnt that I had severe Adhesive Capsulitis and Bursitis. Dr. Richards, operated on my shoulder 13 November, 2017. He truly is a blessed Doctor, who possess the ability to combine knowledge, expertise, human touch, old fashioned bedside manner, talent, patience, professionalism, proactive approach, confidence and love for his work, has made him a superb Sugeon. His naturally combined attributes, hands on and proactive approach is conveyed in his interaction and therefore provides the required confidence for the road ahead. My surgery was a success and Physiotherapy is ongoing. To date, some range of motion has returned and I can comb my hair and dress myself. I owe this successful outcome to Dr. Richards and his team of professionals. To the Fortius Team of professionals, thank you for your care, support, patience, and consideration during my surgery and after. I am indeed thankful. Warmest regards and love
