Dr Mphala Mogudi

Dr Mphala Mogudi is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with particular focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, anxiety and depression. She has been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the UK since 2006, both within the NHS and in the private sector, in inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr Mogudi has led a multidisciplinary team on a psychiatric intensive care unit assessing and treating young people suffering from severe mental health conditions.

Dr Mogudi received her MBchB (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1985, and went on to complete her Fellowship in Psychiatry, South African College of Medicine with a sub-specialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She also holds an MPH (Master’s Degree in Public Health) from Harvard University, School of Public Health, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, with a focus on Health Education and Community Development. In addition, she has a BSc Degree in Biology from Brown University, Rhode Island, USA.

Dr Mogudi is a member of various esteemed professional associations, including the GMC (General Medical Council), the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the Association of Child and Adolescents Mental Health, and the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP).

Dr Mogudi is also a medical appraiser of doctors in all specialties and grades and an expert witness in Child and Adolescent psychiatry medicolegal cases.
