Mr Mohammed Hassan

Mr Mohammed Hassan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions. He provides comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for a broad spectrum of disorders, ranging from degenerative joint conditions to acute upper-limb trauma. His clinical practice encompasses complex hand and wrist reconstruction, peripheral nerve disorders, and keyhole surgical procedures. With a patient-centred approach, Mr Hassan prioritises clear communication, evidence-based practices, and individualised treatment plans to guide patients safely through their recovery.

Having completed extensive training across Sudan, the United Kingdom, and Europe, Mr Hassan earned his Master of Science in Anatomy from the University of Khartoum in 2006. He attained Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT) in 2017, followed by Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Orth) in Trauma and Orthopaedics in England in 2020. In 2025, he was awarded the European Board of Hand Surgery Diploma (EDHS). His foundational background as an Anatomist provides him with a detailed knowledge of upper-limb anatomy, supporting meticulous surgical techniques and confident reconstruction.

In his daily clinical work, Mr Hassan treats a wide variety of upper-limb conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, trigger finger, ganglion cysts, thumb base arthritis, and tendon injuries. He also manages cubital tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff disorders, and upper-limb fractures. Mr Hassan has a particular interest in advanced procedures, such as needle fasciotomy for Dupuytren's contracture and minimally invasive techniques for joint disorders. Collaborating closely with therapists, rheumatologists, and plastic surgeons, he ensures that each patient receives coordinated, high-quality care.
