He possesses extensive expertise in arthroscopic knee procedures for sports injuries, performing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions, cartilage restoration, collateral ligament repair, and meniscal repairs. Additionally, Dr Iqbal performs corrective surgical procedures for patellar instability, high tibial and femoral osteotomies, and joint injections for pain management. His practice also encompasses limb trauma, fracture management, common hand and foot surgeries, and conservative back pain assessments.

Dr Iqbal completed his initial medical training with honours, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS Hons). He advanced his higher surgical training with a Master of Surgery in Orthopaedics (MS Orth), a Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (MCh Orth), and a Diplomate from the National Board of Examinations in Orthopaedics. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and earned an Intercollegiate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. In addition, Dr Iqbal is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and a Member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (MFSEM).
