Dr Minesh Khashu

Dr Minesh Khashu is an accomplished Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician who provides expert clinical care for newborns, infants, and young children. Specialising in neonatal medicine and general paediatrics, Dr Khashu is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care that supports both young patients and their families. As a prominent clinical leader and Professor of Perinatal Health, he is recognised for his commitment to transforming healthcare systems, enhancing patient safety, and fostering compassionate care environments for newborns requiring specialised medical attention.

Dr Khashu possesses extensive expertise in neonatal intensive care and emergency management for vulnerable infants. His clinical focus encompasses the diagnosis and management of complex conditions such as necrotising enterocolitis, neonatal sepsis, newborn jaundice, and congenital abnormalities. He has a particular interest in infant nutrition, including breast milk and donor milk feeding strategies for premature infants. In addition to managing acute physical health needs, Dr Khashu actively advocates for family-centred neonatal care, developing innovative resources to encourage active parental involvement during newborn care.

Dr Khashu holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD). He completed advanced post-graduate sub-specialty training with a Fellowship in Neonatology at the British Columbia Children's & Women's Health Centre in Canada. Dr Khashu is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). He maintains active involvement with professional healthcare bodies, including the British Association of Perinatal Medicine, where he contributes to clinical guidelines, quality improvement initiatives, and national perinatal safety frameworks.
