About Dr Bindu Nair Radha
Dr Bindu Nair Radha is a highly experienced Consultant Paediatrician with over 25 years of clinical practice in paediatrics and neonatology. She specialises in neonatal medicine and paediatric immunology, infectious diseases, and allergy. Renowned for her family-centred approach, Dr Radha is committed to delivering compassionate, personalised care for children from the newborn period through to adolescence.
Dr Radha trained in some of the UK’s leading tertiary hospitals, including Imperial College, University College London Hospital, and Homerton Hospital, as well as in Kent and Surrey. She holds postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), King’s College London, the University of Cambridge, and the National Board of Examinations in India.
Since 2016, Dr Radha has served as the Neonatal Lead for Fetal Medicine services at East Surrey Hospital and was Joint Neonatal Clinical Lead for Surrey Heartlands Local Maternity and Neonatal System until 2022. She also holds an honorary consultant position in paediatric allergy at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Radha is the Principal Investigator at East Surrey Hospital for the multinational HARMONIE trial on RSV prevention in children. Following the highly successful multinational trial, the national RSV vaccination programme is now using Nirsevimab. She also teaches regularly on Neonatal Life Support (NLS) courses across the UK and presents at national and international conferences. She has co-led a postnatal care staff support project at her workplace. Dr Radha is an assessor for the accreditation process for the BSACI GP with special interest in Allergy programme.

Professional and caring, polite and great in dermatology
I had a wonderful experience with our neonatal pediatrician appointment. The Dr Radha were kind, patient, and very supportive, which made a stressful time feel much easier. The doctor took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions, and treated our baby with great care and professionalism. I felt listened to and reassured. I am very grateful for the excellent care and would highly recommend these neonatal services .
Visited with my little boy after three appointments with the nhs and told he didn’t have chest infection and didn’t need antibiotics. After our first visit Dr Bindu prescribed the antibiotics and inhaler and my boy was much better just after two days. Loved that was given a follow up appointment just to double check on him after the 7 days.
We’re so grateful for Dr Radha’s help in diagnosing and understanding our daughter’s allergies. She was so kind, clear and provided plenty of opportunities for us to ask questions.
We had a great experience, the doctor and nurses were polite and informative. Nothing to add.
