Mr Miles Parnell is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at The Royal Eye Unit, Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London having previously worked as the clinical lead for glaucoma at the Princess Royal University Hospital, King's College NHS Foundation Trust.
He specialises in all aspects of glaucoma and cataract surgery, as well as in general eye complaints. He has a particular interest in cataract and glaucoma surgery, in particular minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
He offers laser treatment as well as surgical treatments such as trabeculectomy and aqueous shunts. He obtained his medical degree from Imperial College in London, where he also acquired a B.Sc. in Endocrinology. He conducted research into glaucoma at the Institute of Ophthalmology in London, obtaining an MSc. with distinction. He underwent specialist training in ophthalmology at Moorfield's at St George's and St Thomas' Hospital and also undertook a glaucoma fellowship at King's College Hospital.

Exceptionally courteous and helpful throughout the process from beginning to end, taking time to explore and explain options before, during and after the cataract procedures. Dr Parnell inspires confidence and is to be highly recommended. One of the best doctor-patient experiences I have had in 60+ years.

Mr Miles Parnell was extremely professional and helpful in every way possible.He explained the procedure required very clearly.Although he did not carry the procedure himself he was very helpful at referring me to a Consulant at Chelsfield Park Hospital.I would highly recommend Mr Miles Parnell with a 5 Star rating.

I have absolutely no complaints and in fact only praise for the way I was spoken to and treated. Everything was explained to me very clearly and I had no trouble in following the instructions. I would highly recommend him to any person who is enquiring without hesitation.

So glad I was referred to Miles Parnell. Explained everything regarding cataract surgery to my left eye. Operation was painless and could see immediately afterwards. Operation was a success. On my four week check up asked if I would now like my right eye cataract removed also. Had my four week check today following that surgery. I am so thankful to have been referred as an NHS patient and so glad Miles Parnell performed surgery to both my eyes. Highly recommend anyone to see Miles Parnell, if lucky enough to get the choice.

I couldn’t recommend Mike Parnell more highly. I had cataracts in both eyes and I have been very short sighted since I was 10 years old. He explained everything to me in a way i really understood and not doctors jargon. He put me at ease at both the procedures and aftercare. I now can see very clearly and without my glasses and he has given me a new lease of life. If you have any eye problems, he is your MAN. Thank you so so much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I was very lucky to have been referred to Mr Parnell ,for my cataract surgery. He was very professional in his examination of my eye and also has great people skills .
