About Dr Michail Sideris

Mr Michail Sideris is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and academic with a strong clinical and research background in women’s cancer care. His practice focuses on the surgical management of complex gynaecological malignancies, combining advanced surgical expertise with evidence-based oncological care.

He is highly skilled in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery for both benign and malignant gynaecological conditions, including ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and complex pelvic cancers. In addition to his oncology work, he is an experienced colposcopist and general gynaecologist. His specialist interests include familial cancers, fertility-sparing surgery for gynaecological malignancies, and complex pelvic surgery.

Mr Sideris serves as a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at Barts Health NHS Trust, including The Royal London Hospital, and also holds the role of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.

He completed extensive academic and clinical training, achieving dual doctoral qualifications (MDRes and PhD) with research focused on molecular oncology and surgical education. He also completed advanced subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology at The Royal London Hospital, one of the UK’s leading tertiary cancer centres.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Sideris maintains a strong academic and research portfolio. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is widely cited in the scientific literature for his contributions to multidisciplinary cancer research, cancer prevention, screening, and precision oncology. His collaborative research also explores the impact of healthcare system challenges on gynaecological cancer services. In addition, he is actively involved in medical education, mentoring, and supporting the development of future clinician-scientists.
