Dr Michael Gonsalves

Dr Michael Gonsalves is a dedicated Consultant Radiologist who specialises in diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive interventional procedures. Taking an objective and reassuring approach to patient care, he uses state-of-the-art medical imaging to establish precise diagnoses and deliver targeted image-guided treatments. He works closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure that every patient receives tailored care in a comfortable environment.

Within his clinical practice, Dr Gonsalves focuses on interventional radiology, uroradiology, and interventional oncology. His expertise includes performing diagnostic CT, MRI, and ultrasound scans, as well as complex image-guided procedures. He routinely carries out core biopsies of renal masses, CT-guided cryoablation for kidney tumours, transarterial chemoembolisation, and vascular embolisation techniques. He also performs minimally invasive urological interventions, including percutaneous nephrostomy and urological stenting.

Dr Gonsalves completed his medical degree at the University of London, graduating in 1999. Following his primary medical qualification, he completed comprehensive postgraduate training in clinical radiology and sub-speciality training in interventional radiology, acquiring extensive clinical expertise in diagnostic and image-guided therapies.
