Dr Mhd Bashar Aldeiri

Dr Mhd Bashar Aldeiri is a highly accomplished Consultant Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeon who is dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care for infants, children, and young people. With a clinical focus on both elective and emergency procedures, he specialises in addressing complex congenital and acquired conditions. Dr Aldeiri is widely recognised for his reassuring approach, ensuring that young patients and their families feel supported and fully informed throughout every stage of their treatment journey.

His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of paediatric surgery, with particular expertise in neonatal surgery, abdominal wall defects, short bowel syndrome, and biliary atresia. Dr Aldeiri is highly skilled in utilising advanced minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, which allow for greater precision, quicker recovery times, and reduced post-operative discomfort for children. Additionally, he has a strong interest in surgical and endoscopic interventions for complex conditions such as paediatric chronic pancreatitis.

Dr Aldeiri qualified from Damascus University School of Medicine in 2006. He subsequently undertook extensive paediatric surgical training across several major medical hubs, including Damascus, Manchester, London, and Southampton. In 2014, he was awarded the prestigious Constance Thornley research fellowship at the University of Manchester, where he went on to complete a PhD in 2018, focusing his doctoral thesis on the development of the ventral body wall. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and remains actively involved in clinical research, having co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and academic textbooks in his field.
