About Miss Maureen Monda
Miss Maureen Monda is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in adult knee disorders. After graduating from the University of Sheffield, she completed her specialist orthopaedic training with the North East London Deanery. Following this, Miss Monda enhanced her expertise by undertaking two specialised knee fellowships. The first fellowship, based in the Northwest of England with one of the country's leading knee osteotomy surgeons, focused on knee joint preservation procedures. The second, undertaken in York, concentrated on soft tissue knee procedures and all aspects of knee arthroplasty.
In addition to her clinical work, Miss Monda has a strong interest in research. She has completed two intercalated research degrees and has published her work in peer-reviewed journals, as well as presenting at national and international meetings.
Miss Monda currently practises within the NHS at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, working at both Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup. She also serves as the Patient Safety and Clinical Governance Lead for Trauma and Orthopaedics at Darent Valley Hospital. Known for her respectful approach and dedication to achieving excellent patient outcomes, Miss Monda is committed to keeping abreast of the latest developments in her field.

Miss Monda has provided me with an excellent service. Her kind caring manner and the way she explains everything thoroughly meant that any worries or concerns I had were quickly alleviated. I couldn’t have wished for a better surgeon to perform my knee operation and make me feel at ease. She is an exceptional lovely lady who I can’t praise highly enough and I feel very fortunate to have had her carry out my surgery. She played an active role before, during and after surgery and always kept me informed at all times regarding my procedure and after care.
No problem everything was made very clear to me and I liked Miss Monda very much.
This was final consultation and both very pleased with operation and progress. Miss Monda provided information for future mobility progress and answered questions which I posed regarding sleep position. We discussed my progress with physio and she explained i will be fully discharged once physiotherapist is happy with mobility.
Fabulous Miss Monda, she is probably the best consultant and surgeon I have ever had. Felt totally safe in her hands. So catering and bedside manner the best. Can’t praise her enough.
