Dr Marwa Daghem

Dr Marwa Daghem is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist who specialises in structural heart procedures, interventional cardiology, and advanced cardiac imaging. Dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-focused care, Dr Daghem diagnoses and treats a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. She works closely with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure every individual receives a personalised, clear, and reassuring treatment strategy tailored to their specific cardiac needs.

Dr Daghem has a specialised clinical focus on structural heart disease and valvular interventions. Her areas of expertise include transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), symptomatic valve disease management, adult congenital heart disease, and structural heart defect interventions. To deliver optimal patient outcomes, she utilises multimodality cardiac imaging techniques, including cardiac computed tomography (CT), cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE), to accurately plan and guide complex structural heart procedures.

Dr Daghem obtained her primary medical qualification, a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), and subsequently completed advanced clinical research training at the University of Edinburgh Centre for Cardiovascular Science. She was awarded a prestigious training grant by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), a branch of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). Dr Daghem maintains active professional memberships with prominent medical bodies, including the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS), and the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (BSCI), where she has also contributed as a committee member.
