Dr Lynley Marshall

Dr Lynley Marshall is a distinguished Consultant Paediatric Oncologist who specialises in Paediatrics with a dedicated focus on childhood, teenager, and young adult cancer care. She leads pioneering initiatives in clinical drug development, bringing experimental therapeutics and innovative treatment options to young patients facing high-risk or complex cancers. With a compassionate and holistic approach, Dr Marshall works closely with families to ensure that young patients receive individualised, age-appropriate care tailored to their medical and emotional needs.

Dr Marshall completed her undergraduate medical training in Johannesburg, South Africa, and South West England, earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCh). She subsequently undertook specialist higher training in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Oncology across major academic centres in Bristol and Oxford. In addition to earning a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) and achieving Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), she completed a PhD focusing on novel targeted therapeutics for paediatric brain tumours. She maintains active professional memberships with national and European early-phase clinical trial consortia and holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Senior Lecturer.

Her clinical practice and research focus on the design and delivery of early-phase clinical trials for children, adolescents, and young adults with solid tumours, central nervous system malignancies, and lymphoma. Dr Marshall is deeply committed to translating scientific discoveries into safer, more effective therapies, including molecularly targeted treatments and immunotherapies. By seamlessly supporting patients across the full paediatric and young adult spectrum, she strives to improve survival outcomes and long-term quality of life for young individuals and their families.
