Dr Louise Wilkinson

Dr Louise Wilkinson is a Consultant Radiologist who provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, with a dedicated focus on breast health and diagnostic care. She plays a key role in delivering prompt and accurate diagnostic evaluations for patients undergoing routine screening or investigating specific clinical concerns. Working collaboratively alongside multidisciplinary specialist teams, Dr Wilkinson ensures that every patient receives compassionate, individualised attention throughout their imaging pathway.

Her clinical practice encompasses all aspects of diagnostic breast imaging, including digital mammography, high-resolution breast ultrasound, and breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In addition to diagnostic interpretation, Dr Wilkinson performs image-guided interventional procedures, such as core needle biopsies, to obtain precise tissue samples for analysis. Her expertise extends to population breast screening, risk stratification, and the evaluation of complex mammographic findings, always aiming to combine technical precision with a supportive patient experience.

Dr Wilkinson earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BM BCh) from Oxford University in 1987. Following her undergraduate training, she completed specialist postgraduate training in clinical radiology. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and actively participates in regional and national quality assurance initiatives to maintain and elevate standards in diagnostic breast services.
