Dr Louise Mercer

Dr Louise Mercer is a highly skilled Consultant Rheumatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and reassuring care to patients with complex rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. Specialising in the diagnosis, evaluation, and management of chronic inflammatory diseases and autoimmune disorders, she works closely with patients to establish individualised care plans that optimise joint health and overall quality of life. Dr Mercer possesses extensive clinical expertise across a broad range of rheumatological disorders, with special interests in rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, gout, and giant cell arteritis. She has played a key role in developing innovative fast-track diagnostic pathways, including specialist ultrasound clinics that enable rapid assessment for early inflammatory arthritis and giant cell arteritis.
