Dr Louise Alder

Dr Louise Alder is a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon who specialises in oncoplastic breast surgery and advanced breast-conserving techniques. With a patient-centred approach, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals facing breast cancer and other general surgical conditions. Dr Alder focuses on achieving the best possible oncological outcomes while prioritising aesthetic preservation and reconstruction, ensuring that her patients feel supported and reassured throughout their treatment journey.

Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of general and specialised surgical procedures. Dr Alder has extensive expertise in breast-conserving surgery, therapeutic mammoplasty, and partial breast reconstruction using local perforator flaps. She is also highly proficient in performing sentinel lymph node biopsies and managing complex breast conditions, including breast implant-associated disorders. In addition to her oncoplastic work, she maintains a strong interest in general surgical care, including emergency laparotomy and abdominal procedures, always utilising evidence-based techniques to minimise recovery times and improve patient satisfaction.

Dr Alder completed her medical education with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and went on to earn a Master of Science (MSc).
