Dr Sarath Wicks is a Consultant Physician in General Medicine with a special interest in medicine for the elderly at Queens Hospital in Romford and he also sees patients privately at The Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital and at Westland Medical Centre ,Hornchurch.
He was first appointed as a consultant Physician at Harold Wood Hospital with duties in Brentwood and Havering Hospitals in 1989 and continued as a Consultant Physician at newly built Queens Hospital in Romford within the same trust from its inception In 2004. During the years he was involved in modernising the local practice of elderly care medicine integrating with acute General Medical services within the trust and has taken the lead role in developng the holistic approach to elderly medical practice integrating with community care. He has always provided comprehensive medical assessments in adult medicine for all ages undertaking specialist domicilliary visits if needed. He has developed a special interest in dealing with complex and difficult diagnostic and management issues and in dealing with unusual presentations within the context of adult medicine.
