Ms Lisa Hughes

Ms Lisa Hughes is the Director and Lead Sonographer at Mourne Scan Clinic. She graduated from the University of Ulster with a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and completed a PgD in Medical Science at the same institution. Furthering her professional development, she earned a PgC in Medical Ultrasound from Anglia University, Cambridge. Lisa then worked as a radiographer and sonographer for 16 years at Daisy Hill Hospital.

In 2016, she founded Mourne Scan Clinic to provide a private ultrasound service to the local community and beyond. In 2017, she completed musculoskeletal training with the Sport Medicine Ultrasound Group. Since 2019, Lisa has centralised the clinic in Newry and expanded its services to include locations in Dundalk and Ashbourne. Known for her empathetic, friendly, and approachable manner, Lisa remains committed to maintaining the highest level of professionalism in all that she does.
