Dr Laura Rich is a dedicated Consultant Physician in Endocrinology and Diabetes, specialising in the comprehensive care and management of complex endocrine disorders and diabetes mellitus. As a Co-Clinical Lead within her field, Dr Rich provides expert, patient-centred care that addresses both acute and long-term metabolic conditions. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of glandular and hormonal conditions, including thyroid disorders, hyperparathyroidism, hypo- and hypercalcaemia, secondary hypertension, hyperprolactinaemia, and both male and female hypogonadism.

A major focus of Dr Rich's clinical work is the specialised care of young adults living with diabetes, guiding patients through crucial transitions in their healthcare journey and emphasising active patient involvement. She has led key service initiatives to enhance support for young adults, promoting the integration of advanced diabetes technology such as continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy, and hybrid closed-loop systems. In addition, Dr Rich possesses extensive expertise in managing newly diagnosed diabetes, adjusting complex insulin regimens, and providing tailored care for individuals with early-onset Type 2 diabetes.

Dr Rich completed her medical education and higher specialist training in general internal medicine, endocrinology, and diabetes in the United Kingdom. She holds specialist accreditation and professional registration in both General Internal Medicine and Endocrinology & Diabetes.
