Dr Laura Feeney

Dr Laura Feeney is a dedicated Consultant Medical Oncologist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing cancer diagnosis and treatment. Specialising in systemic anti-cancer therapies, Dr Feeney works alongside multi-disciplinary healthcare teams to craft tailored management plans designed to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Her approach focuses on clear, empathetic communication, ensuring patients and their families feel informed, supported, and reassured throughout every stage of their treatment journey.

Dr Feeney holds expertise across a wide range of oncological conditions, with particular clinical interests in genitourinary cancers, including prostate cancer, as well as gynaecological malignancies and head and neck tumours. She is actively involved in clinical trials and innovative research focused on early cancer detection, biomarker discovery, and novel treatment strategies. Her clinical practice encompasses modern evidence-based therapies, including targeted therapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, enabling her to offer advanced, high-quality oncology care.

Dr Feeney completed her primary medical degree before undertaking specialist postgraduate training in Medical Oncology. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical research and academic excellence, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in cancer research, concentrating on molecular biomarkers for early cancer detection. Alongside her clinical practice, she serves as a Clinical Lecturer and maintains active membership with professional bodies, including the Association of Cancer Physicians and the Irish Association for Cancer Research.
