Astigmatism

Due to my keratcornus and significant astigmatism, I decided to opt for a bespoke lens hoping not to have to wear hard contact lens after 40plus years. The whole experience at Telford has been first class. Kareena has provided extremely clear and helpful support throughout the whole process co-ordinating the treatment superbly. All assessments were carried out with expertise and promptly. The surgeon, Mr Osama Makhzoum is highly professional and has provided me with life changing sight ! He cares greatly about his work and alongside his exceptional sugery work on my sight he took the time at the outset inba telephone conversation to discuss what he considered would be the best lens option for me. 
The follow up has also been more of the same with excellent attention to detail with Luke.

When I went originally under the NHS I left a long letter about various misgivings and issues to do with the centre and how I was treated. All negative. I could send a copy of this to you if you wish. 
Nothing has changed as far as I can see.
Then I returned as a private patient. 
It was not a happy experience at all. After the first cataract op, I was left traumatised. No exaggeration. 
The numbing agent did not work, pure iodine was poured into my eye. It was very painful.
The nurse mishandled the lens and the back-up lens had to be inserted.
The second eye had similar probelems: the nunbing agent did not work.
Mr Ali (a charming man) said I had issues with iodine but thinking about it, it has to be that the numbing agent did not work.
I cannot recommend Clarity in Macclesfield.
I never want to return to that place.

Lens Replacement Surgery

I recently had lens replacement surgery on both eyes, two weeks apart and the results have exceeded my expectations.  My vision is now better than 20/20 and the improvement has made a huge difference to my everyday life.

Following initial tests by staff to check if I was a suitable candidate for the procedure I met my surgeon, MrJenyon, who immediately inspired confidence, he completed a further eye examination and  then took time to explain the entire proposed procedure clearly, including potential risks and complications.  He gave me amole opportunity to ask questions and I never felt under any pressure to proceed.  This allowed me to make a fully informed decision to go ahead with the surgery.  I had also done my homework and knew I wanted a very experienced and successful surgeon carrying out the operation personally, which is how I came to find Mr Jenyon. 

The service and follow up care from the entire team was equally professional, everyone was friendly, helpful and attentive at every stage including follow up. 

I could not be happier with the outcome and would highly recommend arranging a consultation with Mr Jenyon to anyone seriously considering lens replacement surgery.
