Mr Thomas Jenyon

Mr Thomas Jenyon is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cataract surgery, corneal conditions and external eye disease. He has extensive experience in micro-incision cataract surgery, including complex cataract cases and patients with previous laser eye surgery.

His clinical practice includes the management of astigmatism and the use of advanced intraocular lens (IOL) technologies, including premium lens options designed to improve visual outcomes and reduce dependence on glasses following surgery. He also performs refractive lens exchange procedures and provides lens-based vision correction treatments.

Mr Jenyon graduated with distinction from University College London and completed specialist ophthalmology training in the West Midlands. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a member of the Royal College of Physicians.

He has specialist expertise in corneal surgery, including Descemet’s Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK), a specialised form of corneal transplantation. He is among a limited number of UK surgeons with experience in this advanced procedure and contributes to the management of complex corneal conditions.

Mr Jenyon is based in Shrewsbury and works at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, providing care across NHS and private settings. His work includes the assessment and treatment of cataract, corneal and refractive conditions.
