Dr Khalida Lockman

Dr Khalida Lockman is a highly qualified Consultant Endocrinologist and Consultant Physician specialising in Endocrinology & Diabetes as well as General Medicine. Serving as a Clinical Director and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, she brings high-level clinical leadership and expertise to the diagnosis and long-term management of complex hormonal and metabolic conditions. Dr Lockman is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care that empowers individuals to effectively manage their health conditions.

In her clinical practice, Dr Lockman oversees a broad spectrum of endocrine and metabolic disorders. Her core areas of focus include Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance, and the management and prevention of diabetic vascular complications. She also evaluates and treats patients with thyroid dysfunction, metabolic health disorders, and acute internal medicine presentations. Dr Lockman works closely with each patient to develop structured, personalised treatment plans aimed at optimising wellness and improving overall quality of life.

Dr Lockman completed her initial medical training, earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCh) degree. She further advanced her academic qualifications by obtaining a Master of Medical Science (MMedSci) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP Edin). Alongside her hospital commitments, she holds a prestigious academic position as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, contributing to medical research and the education of future healthcare professionals.
