Dr Karina Laing

Dr Karina Laing is a dedicated Consultant Urologist who provides expert diagnostic assessment and tailored treatment plans for patients experiencing a wide range of urological conditions. With a compassionate and thorough approach, Dr Laing ensures that individuals feel fully supported, well informed, and reassuringly guided through every step of their care.

Dr Laing possesses comprehensive expertise across general and sub-specialist urology, with a particular focus on Female Urology, Reconstructive Urology, Neurological Urology, and Urodynamics. She specialises in treating conditions affecting the lower urinary tract and bladder dysfunction, including urinary incontinence. Her clinical practice incorporates modern diagnostic techniques and therapies, such as video urodynamics, sacral neuromodulation, and GreenLight laser therapy for bladder outlet obstruction.

Dr Laing earned her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Glasgow in 2005. She went on to complete specialist urological training through the East of Scotland rotation, during which she earned a Master of Science (MSc) and obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Urol). She maintains professional membership with the British Association of Urological Surgeons.

In addition to her routine clinical practice, Dr Laing holds a leadership role as a Unit Clinical Director. In this capacity, she works alongside multidisciplinary clinical teams to modernise patient pathways, reintroduce specialist incontinence services, and maintain high standards of patient-centred care.
