Dr John Fitzpatrick

Dr John Fitzpatrick is a Consultant Radiologist who specialises in musculoskeletal and trauma imaging. He provides patient-centred care for individuals presenting with bone, joint, and soft tissue disorders. Utilising diagnostic tools such as ultrasound, X-ray, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Dr Fitzpatrick ensures accurate assessment and clear diagnostic guidance for a wide spectrum of acute injuries and chronic conditions.

In clinical practice, Dr Fitzpatrick performs various image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. These include ultrasound-guided joint and soft tissue injections, aspirations, and targeted tissue biopsies. As a dedicated Consultant Radiologist, he works to minimise patient discomfort while providing precise interventional care to assist in managing sports injuries, traumatic joint conditions, and inflammatory pain.

Dr Fitzpatrick earned his medical degree from the University of Cambridge before completing general medical training in London and higher specialist radiology training across Edinburgh and London. He subsequently completed an advanced fellowship focused on orthopaedic imaging in Birmingham. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and a member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists. Beyond his clinical work, he contributes to postgraduate medical education by teaching and supervising Radiology Resident Doctors.
