Dr. Joanna Yong

Dr. Joanna Yong is an experienced General Practitioner (GP) and Clinical Lead. With a career covering both the UK and Australia, Dr. Yong has gained a wealth of experience in hospital and primary care settings. She has a strong background in Paediatric Integrated Care, Medical Education, Primary Care Research.

Dr. Yong's role as a Clinical Lead for Child Health with NHS North Central London ICB since 2012, demonstrates her dedication to enhancing child health services and her deep involvement in Primary Care research. She also holds a position with Barnet Primary Care Research Network as Clinical Cluster Lead, where she oversees clinical practices in primary care across the region.

Dr. Yong has held several roles within NHS GP services, including being the Principal GP at Penshurst Gardens Surgery and The Speedwell Practice, and she has worked in various GP positions in Barnet. As a General Practitioner Partner at St Andrews Medical Practice since May 2022, she continues to make an impact by providing primary care and managing complex medical conditions for patients of all ages.

In terms of education, Dr. Yong graduated with a MBChB in Medicine from The University of Sheffield in 1997. Her ongoing work, including her leadership in child health and research, contributes to improving healthcare access, quality, and sustainability.
