Dr Joanna Cunnington

Dr Joanna Cunnington is an accomplished Consultant Rheumatologist dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing complex rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders. With expertise spanning a broad range of inflammatory conditions and joint disorders, Dr Cunnington focuses on delivering accurate diagnoses and personalised care plans. Her objective approach prioritises early intervention, symptom alleviation, and long-term joint health to improve her patients' overall quality of life.

Dr Cunnington qualified as a Doctor in 1999 and subsequently undertook advanced postgraduate medical training in Newcastle upon Tyne and Adelaide, Australia. Demonstrating a strong commitment to clinical excellence and scientific research, she completed two years of dedicated investigation into the role of ultrasound in managing rheumatology patients, for which she was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2009. She attained her appointment as a Consultant Rheumatologist in 2013.

In her clinical practice, Dr Cunnington integrates state-of-the-art diagnostic tools with compassionate, individualised patient care.
