Mr Jawad Freites

I recently came for a bulkamid procedure at Scarborough Hospital. The team were amazing and their care was second to none. I would definitely choose to have further surgery at Scarborough Hospital.

Very informative makes you feel at ease, he has a lot of time for you and really listens. The nicest consultant I have seen.

As always Mr Freites is very courteous and considerate. His explanation of my treatment pathway was clear and gave me confidence to continue. I am grateful for the help and guidance I have received so far.

I need to give my experiences of today a 10 out of 10. The whole team looking after me before and after the procedure were all so caring and attentive. Mr Jawad Freites who did the hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy was absolutely amazing! If I have to go back for anything further in the upcoming months I would really like it if DR Freites the Gynaecologist look after me again as I have nothing but praise for him. Also the team that looked after me on the day too were all amazing. Although I was in pain after the procedure the nurse made it her priority to make me feel comfortable and dealt with my pain very quickly. Thank you so much to all the team today for making this experience so much less nerve wracking.

Mr Freites was very thorough and explained all my options going forwards. He had been able to look through my previous medical notes, recent tests and scans and give honest advice. He was very empathetic and considerate of how much pain I was in.

Thank you again, Mr Freites, for being such a kind, professional and detail-focused consultant. I have never felt rushed or embarrassed, and you always take the time to answer all my questions, even though there are often quite a few! I feel very lucky to have had you as my consultant. Whilst I hope I won’t need to see you again, I know that if I ever do, I will always receive the very best care.

I was very anxious going in as it was an initial appointment and I had no real concept of what to expect. Mr Freites was thorough, kind, clear - listened fully and asked questions which made it easy for me to give the information he needed. The nurse who came to assist when he examined me was likewise kind and professional. I left feeling completely relieved: I had been heard and understood, and that the future treatment is in safe hands.

Mr Freitas was very kind and reassuring. He explained things well and clearly. I came away from the consultation feeling confident about the treatment I would receive.

Wow what a credit to the NHS what a wonderful team at Malton hospital I was terrified and I was treated with the upmost respect and kindness and I look forward to going forward with my treatments
