Mr Platt is an absolutely amazing consultant with a patient centred approach towards the needs of his patients. He takes time to listen and understand what the concerns are. He is very empathetic and works his best to find solutions to help his patients. He explained the options available with the associated risks and treatment plan very well. We can’t thank him enough.

Never been more at ease with having a procedure done. Was made to feel very comfortable. Talked me through the whole process of what was going to happen and the process afterwards. Never met a better surgeon

I had a very successful right hip operation experience in the hands of Mr Platt. From my initial consultation through to the most recent consultation it could not have gone better. At every stage Mr Platt took the time to explain what was happening. In hospital he checked on my progress each day, which gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. At my last consultation I was particularly interested to see on the X-rays the comparison before and after the operation, and the extent to which it had worn. It brought it home to me! Also a nice touch was inviting my daughter in to listen to the consultation just before I returned home. Now, 4 weeks since the operation, I have almost a full range of movement restored to that right hip. The only thing lacking is building up the muscles to get some strength back to where it was, but I'm working on that in conjunction with the physio I've been given. Andrew H

Mr Platt has been unbelievably amazing throughout the time I’ve been under his care. This time has been about 3 years and I’ve had 3 operations completed by him. He explains everything brilliantly and always makes you feel like he has time for you.

I am 83 yrs of age and have suffered for over 3 or 4 years with pain in my right knee affecting my mobility. After one visit Mr Platt confidently identified the problems and was able to recommend treatment and injected my knee at this first visit. After a few days I am now able to walk pain free without crutches. It sounds silly but for me he was a Godsend in improving my activity levels as the treatment did.

I visited Dr Platt after experiencing some pain in my knee following a surfing session. He was able to diagnose the damage quite accurately as the later MRI scan backed up his initial diagnosis. I was braced immediately and followed his plan to gradually increase movement on the braces calibrated setting over the weeks that followed I found him to be very professional, knowledgeable and happy to answer the Bombardment of questions I sent him via email. I think it also helped he was a sporty person himself and could relate his own past injuries to mine. While I pray I never have to see him again in a clinical sense I’d highly recommend him to others especially for sports related injuries.
