Mr. Shankar is dedicated to participating in the education of junior ophthalmologists and serves as an examiner for The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, European Board of Ophthalmology and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has also been a member of the Education & Training Committee of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is the ex-Chair of the Medical Training Initiative for International Medical Graduates Sub-committee. He is an Honorary Faculty member at Cardiff University Medical School, Swansea University Medical School and the Biomedical Sciences Unit of Bangor University. Mr Shankar is keenly involved in Medical Research and works in close collaboration with Glyndwr University and the North Wales Clinical Research Centre. He has published extensively with over 35 publications in various national and international peer-reviewed journals.

Excellent experience , appointments punctual. He gave full explanation of treatment plan and gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. Very reassuring on day of surgery. At post op appointment explained possible future options. Would certainly visit Mr. Shanker again. Thank you
