Dr Itopa Abedo

Dr Itopa Abedo is a highly accomplished Consultant Physician, Consultant Diabetologist, and Consultant Endocrinologist who specialises in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Acute Medicine. With a clinical practice deeply rooted in patient-centred care, he focuses on diagnosing and managing a comprehensive range of endocrine disorders, diabetes mellitus, and acute medical conditions. Dr Abedo is dedicated to providing reassuring, evidence-based care, helping patients navigate complex metabolic and hormonal health challenges with tailored treatment strategies.

In his clinical practice, Dr Abedo manages a diverse spectrum of conditions, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal insufficiency, and pituitary conditions. He has a particular interest in the medical management of obesity, transitional diabetes care for young adolescents, and the implementation of advanced diabetes technologies such as continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy. Additionally, Dr Abedo runs specialist clinics focusing on general endocrinology, metabolic health, and the management of complex electrolyte imbalances such as hyponatraemia.
