Dr Ian Morrison

Dr Ian Morrison is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in paediatric emergency medicine and acute child healthcare. Dedicated to providing compassionate, child-centred care, he focuses on the prompt assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute medical conditions in young patients. His calm and reassuring clinical manner ensures that children and their families feel supported, safe, and heard during urgent medical situations.

Within his clinical practice, Dr Morrison manages a broad range of urgent medical scenarios, ranging from sudden childhood illnesses to emergency injuries. His clinical interests encompass emergency paediatric triage, acute resuscitation, cardiovascular screening in emergency settings, and the rapid stabilisation of acutely unwell infants and children. Beyond his direct patient care responsibilities, Dr Morrison has served as a Clinical Lead and remains deeply committed to medical education, formally mentoring junior doctors and delivering postgraduate teaching for paediatric clinical examinations.

Dr Morrison completed his primary medical training at Queen's University Belfast, graduating with his medical degree in 1993. He subsequently undertook extensive higher specialist training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
