Mr Hussein El Shafei

Mr Hussein El Shafei is a highly experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon.

Mr El Shafei's sub-speciality interests are minimally invasive cardiac surgery, aortic surgery, and surgical treatment of arrhythmia. They have held leadership roles such as Head of Service, Lead Clinician, and Clinical Lead of Cardiac Services. They have authored many publications and concluded several clinical trials. Throughout their career, they have trained and supervised many medical students and postgraduate trainees.

Mr El Shafei is a member, fellow and executive of several institutions, professional bodies and international societies in Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia.
