Dr Hiren Divecha

Dr Hiren Divecha is a highly dedicated Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in lower limb joint reconstruction and preservation. Taking a thorough and patient-centred approach to clinical care, Dr Divecha evaluates each individual with meticulous attention to detail, working closely with patients to restore mobility, alleviate joint pain, and enhance overall quality of life. His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from common degenerative joint disorders to complex lower limb presentation.

In his clinical practice, Dr Divecha focuses on primary, complex, and revision hip and knee replacement procedures. He possesses expertise in young adult hip management, including hip arthroscopy, as well as the multidisciplinary management of lower limb metastatic bone disease. Additionally, Dr Divecha is actively involved in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives, including modern daycase total hip replacement care pathways that facilitate safe and efficient recovery for suitable candidates.

Dr Divecha completed his undergraduate medical education, earning his medical degree (MBChB) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. He subsequently undertook extensive specialist training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery across the North West of England, alongside advanced fellowship training in lower limb reconstruction. His commitment to academic excellence is demonstrated through a Master of Science (MSc) in Orthopaedic Engineering and an MPhil research degree from the University of Manchester. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr&Orth) and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS). Dr Divecha also maintains active professional affiliations with key medical societies, including the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Hip Society.
