Miss Heledd Havard

Hel Havard is a Consultant Orthopaedic Sarcoma Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore, where she is part of the London Sarcoma Service. She specialises in the treatment of primary bone and soft tissue sarcomas, benign tumours, and metastatic bone disease, ensuring patients receive expert, individualised care. With a strong focus on shared decision-making, Hel works closely with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Her expertise includes complex pelvic tumour removal and reconstruction, amputation surgery, and advanced techniques such as custom-designed implants and biological reconstructions, using bone grafts with their own blood supply. She collaborates with plastic, vascular, general, thoracic, and urology surgeons to provide a fully integrated, multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

Hel trained on the prestigious RNOH surgical programme and completed international fellowships in sarcoma and joint reconstruction in Sydney, Australia. Passionate about education, she has authored book chapters, published research in medical journals, and plays a key role in surgical training. As Education Lead for the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society, she is committed to advancing orthopaedic oncology education in the UK.
