Mr Harry Benjamin-Laing

Mr Harry Benjamin-Laing is a highly skilled Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in hand and wrist surgery. He is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of a comprehensive range of hand and wrist conditions, including complex trauma, sports injuries, arthritis, nerve compression, and tendon problems. With a patient-centred approach, Mr Benjamin-Laing focuses on relieving pain, restoring function, and improving the overall quality of life for his patients. He is committed to exploring non-surgical options, such as splinting and therapeutic injections, before considering surgical intervention.

Mr Benjamin-Laing began his medical journey at the University of Glasgow, where he earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Sports Medicine, followed by his medical degree from the University of Liverpool, qualifying in 2007. He completed his foundation training in the South East London Deanery and undertook his higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery through the North West Mersey Rotation, achieving his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2022. To further refine his expertise, he completed prestigious fellowships, including time at a leading hand unit in London and a highly competitive fellowship at a renowned international centre of excellence for orthopaedic surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the European Board of Hand Surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Benjamin-Laing is deeply committed to medical education, research, and innovation in orthopaedics. He regularly contributes to peer-reviewed publications and orthopaedic textbooks, and he frequently speaks at national and international conferences.
