About Mr Benan Dala-Ali
- Mr Benan Dala-Ali is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in paediatric practice. He sees patients of all ages, with extensive experience in managing infants, toddlers and adolescent children. He deals with all aspects of children's injuries, from minor sports injuries to complex neuromuscular conditions.
- Mr Dala-Ali completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in London, followed by higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He subsequently worked at Major Trauma Centres in both London and Melbourne before completing two internationally recognised paediatric fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital (London) and The Royal Children's Hospital (Melbourne).
- In addition to his clinical training, Mr Dala-Ali also completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education at University College London. He is now a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons and the Higher Education Academy. Alongside his continuing clinical practice, he is still very active in research and teaching by publishing papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals as well as presenting at various national and international paediatric, orthopaedic, and sports conferences. Furthermore, he teaches medical students formally through lecture courses while providing mentorship opportunities for young doctors and surgeons based out of London or Oxford.

Dr Dala-Ali was so brilliant with our 2 year old that she believes going to the doctors is a fun activity. It is a very scary thing for us as parents to have our child go through surgery, especially at such a young age. Dr. Dala-Ali was so patient and thorough from Day 1 and really treated our child as he would his own. We are very fortunate to have such a professional and kind doctor/surgeon look after our child.
Great experience overall. A kind professional who knows how to engage with children, very informative diagnosis and follow up care. Extremely easy to book an appointment thanks to his very proactive assistant.

Positive and reassuring experience during recent appointment. Mr Dala-Ali has a fantastic manner with children to help them feel at ease and comfortable in sharing how they are feeling. Takes time to explain any results and scans in a simple but effective way.
A consultant with an ability to explain to young people what is happening in a friendly and efficient manner, and to find the right balance with parents regarding information sharing. Further, a consultant who doesn't put operating at the top of their agenda unless critical. What a find! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Dala-Ali.
Mr Dala-Ali was excellent in treating our son's broken hand. We originally went via the NHS, but decided to switch to Benan, and we are very pleased we did. He suggested a far easier recovery plan, xrays were taken without any waiting around, and he we incredibly professional and reassuring throughout.

If you’re going to need an Orthopaedic Consultant, Mr Benan Dala-Ali is who you want to see. His bedside manner is very comforting and very clear explanation of the matter at hand. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him or visiting him again.
