Dr. Harrison Howarth

Dr Harrison Howarth is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of mental health conditions. He provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients experiencing complex affective disorders, including depression and anxiety spectrum illnesses. Dr Howarth adopts a holistic and patient-centred approach to psychiatric care, working collaboratively with individuals to develop tailored treatment plans that support long-term recovery and mental well-being.

His clinical expertise encompasses adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), complex psychopharmacology, and general adult psychiatry. Dr Howarth has particular interest in managing ADHD across diverse patient groups, including elite athletes, where he assists with complex medication protocols and liaises with international anti-doping organisations. In addition to neurodevelopmental conditions and mood disorders, his clinical practice extends to supporting individuals affected by psychological trauma, psychosis, and substance misuse challenges.

Dr Howarth graduated from Imperial College London School of Medicine, obtaining his Bachelor of Science with first-class honours in research sciences in 2014 and his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with distinction in 2016. He subsequently completed his postgraduate psychiatric training in North Central London. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and actively contributes to clinical research and academic publications in both psychiatry and general internal medicine.
