Dr. Hafsa Umar

Dr Hafsa Umar is a General Practitioner based in Milton Keynes with a special interest in ear, nose and throat (ENT) care. She is a fixed-share partner at Watling Street Practice’s Great Holm site and also provides private GP consultations through Alician Healthcare in Buckingham. Alongside her clinical responsibilities, she is a qualified GP trainer and contributes to the education and development of future doctors..

Dr Umar’s clinical interests include community ENT assessment and management, general practice and women’s health. Her ENT work covers common presentations such as nosebleeds, ear pain, ear infections and discharge, nasal blockage, sinusitis and earwax-related concerns. She sees patients across different age groups, including children, adults and older people. Within general practice, she also supports women with health concerns, including those associated with perimenopause and post-menopause. Her clinical scope combines primary care experience with a focused interest in providing accessible assessment and management for common ENT conditions.

Dr Umar graduated from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan in 2012 and subsequently completed foundation training at Northampton General Hospital. She undertook general practice training through the Oxford Vocational Training Scheme and achieved MRCGP in 2021.

Dr Umar values building effective, ongoing relationships with patients and providing care that takes account of their individual concerns. She recognises that routine NHS appointments can be time-limited and aims to offer a more relaxed consultation environment through her private practice, allowing patients additional time to discuss symptoms, understand their options and ask questions. Her approach also reflects a commitment to medical education, supporting the development of future GPs and medical students while maintaining a broad, patient-focused perspective across different age groups and health needs.
