About Dr. Samila Asad

Dr Samila Asad is a GP and NLP Master Coach specialising in Women’s Health based in Milton Keynes. She believes that physical and emotional wellbeing are fundamentally linked, and her unique experience as a qualified GP and Life Coach allows Dr Asad to offer an integrated approach to health in her work. Dr Asad specialises in supporting those in their midlife struggling with both physical and mental health. She combines her medical expertise and coaching skills to explore beyond solely investigating a patient's symptoms, through uncovering the factors influencing their thoughts and feelings, and thus how to best manage them.

As a GP, Dr Asad has over 20 years of experience and graduated from the University of London in 2003. She holds a variety of specialist interests including the menopause, medical weight management, skin health, and hair loss assessment and treatment. She is accredited by the British Menopause Society and holds a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from the University of London.

Her coaching style aims to help individuals reduce feelings of overwhelm and gain confidence, and she creates a calm and patient space in which to explore these feelings. She helps people to recognise unhelpful thoughts and behaviour patterns which influence their experience navigating life. Her unique approach combining her expertise in both mindset and medicine allows her to provide holistic, patient-centred medical care and coaching services.

I had an appointment with Dr Asad to discuss diagnoses, ongoing issues and recurring symptoms. She really listened and acknowledged how I was feeling. It was such a relief to have the opportunity to give my medical history in an unrushed manner, and to have someone look at things holistically. We discussed next steps in terms of treatment and follow-up. I felt part of the decision-making. Really approachable and professional.

Dr Samila is excellent. She is kid, supportive and helpful at every stage. I lost over 3st in 8 months on a 2.5mg dose of mounjaro but for me the injections were a support tool rather than a magic fix. The biggest difference came from changing my lifestyle and routine alongside the medication. I committed to exercising every morning for 30–40 minutes, gradually increasing the intensity whenever it started to feel easier. Over time I introduced weights and eventually a weighted vest, which really helped improve my fitness and consistency. I now weight train each evening as well. I also completely changed my eating habits. Instead of overeating in the evenings, I started taking a third of my dinner to work for lunch the next day. I added plain pea protein powder and fibre husk to help keep me full and support better nutrition. The combination of better habits, structured exercise, improved portion control, and consistency is what made the real difference. Mounjaro helped control cravings and supported the process, but changing my lifestyle is what made the results consistent.
