Dr. Nicholas Peat

Dr. Nicholas Peat is a Registered General Practitioner, co-founding director of Uniquely Created U, and an expert in clinical medicine with a specialist interest in nutrition and lifestyle medicine. After overcoming severe Crohn’s disease through significant lifestyle changes, he developed a strong interest in the role of nutrition and lifestyle interventions in preventing and managing chronic disease. This led him to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutritional Medicine.

Dr Peat remains actively involved in both NHS and private clinical practice, consulting with patients in person and remotely. He graduated from University College London with bachelor's degrees in Neuroscience (2004) and Medicine and Surgery (2006), before further specialising in nutritional medicine. Passionate about medical education, he established a Student Selected Component in Human Nutrition at University of Cambridge in 2022 and has extensive experience teaching undergraduate medical students, postgraduate doctors, and members of the public.

Dr Peat earned recognition for his cholesterol-lowering clinical tool which was recognised by the Care Quality Commission for "Outstanding Practice" in 2014, and he was shortlisted for the Patient Safety Awards in 2015 for improving safety and quality in primary care. More recently, he received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Dedication and Exceptional Contributions to Healthcare in 2024 and was awarded a Top Doctors® Certificate of Medical Excellence for 2025–2026.

As co-founder of Uniquely Created U, Dr Peat combines conventional medicine with a comprehensive approach that integrates nutrition, lifestyle, gut health, movement, and mental wellbeing to help individuals, families, and organisations achieve sustainable long-term health. He has also served as a Medical Advisor to Doctors.net.uk, supporting one of the UK's largest professional medical networks.
