Dr Graeme Lumsden

Dr Graeme Lumsden is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist who specialises in the non-surgical management of cancer. He provides expert, compassionate care for patients presenting with complex malignant conditions, with primary clinical focus in breast cancer and thoracic malignancies, including lung cancer. Working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, Dr Lumsden delivers personalised treatment strategies designed around the individual needs of each patient, offering reassuring guidance throughout their care.

In his clinical practice, Dr Lumsden oversees advanced treatment strategies that incorporate precision radiotherapy and systemic therapies, such as chemotherapy. His areas of clinical expertise encompass regional nodal irradiation, axillary radiotherapy, and acute oncology care. In addition to direct patient care, Dr Lumsden actively contributes to clinical trials and oncological research, helping to evaluate innovative treatments that enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.

Dr Lumsden holds full registration with the General Medical Council and has attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists. Deeply committed to clinical leadership and medical education, he serves as National Training Programme Director for Clinical Oncology in Scotland. He has also previously served as Chair of the Clinical Oncology Curriculum Committee at the Royal College of Radiologists, playing a key role in shaping postgraduate training for future Clinical Oncologists.
