Dr Giuseppe Preziosi

Dr Giuseppe Preziosi is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon who provides expert care in surgical management for a wide range of gastrointestinal and abdominal conditions. His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders, and functional intestinal disorders. Dedicated to patient-focused care, Dr Preziosi aims to deliver personalised treatment plans that prioritise both immediate recovery and long-term quality of life.

With extensive expertise in advanced surgical techniques, Dr Preziosi specialises in minimally invasive surgical options, including laparoscopic colorectal surgery and robotic-assisted surgery. He possesses a strong clinical focus on complex inflammatory bowel disease interventions, routinely performing specialised procedures such as the Kono-S anastomosis to reduce disease recurrence. His clinical scope also encompasses detailed anorectal physiological testing, as well as the management of neurogenic bowel dysfunction and gastrointestinal motility disorders.

Dr Preziosi earned his primary medical degree from the University of Naples prior to undertaking comprehensive postgraduate surgical training in the United Kingdom. He completed a PhD in gastrointestinal physiology in 2014 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2019. Alongside his clinical work, he actively contributes to surgical research and medical education as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, and holds professional memberships with the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland and the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain.
