Dr Gianmarco Isgro

Dr Gianmarco Isgro is a Consultant Urological Surgeon who provides patient-centred care across a broad spectrum of general and complex urological conditions. Dedicated to delivering compassionate and evidence-based care, Dr Isgro works closely with patients to ensure they feel reassured and well-informed at every stage of their treatment journey. His clinical approach focuses on utilising modern, minimally invasive surgical techniques to optimise patient outcomes and support efficient recovery times.

His key areas of expertise include urological oncology, benign prostate conditions, functional urology, and continence management. Dr Isgro has a clinical interest in the early detection and treatment of prostate, bladder, and renal cancers, specialising in robotic-assisted procedures such as nerve-sparing and Retzius-sparing radical prostatectomies. In addition, he offers comprehensive management for benign prostatic enlargement using advanced treatments like Aquablation and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). His scope of practice also encompasses lower urinary tract symptoms, erectile dysfunction, phimosis, hydrocele, varicocele, vasectomy, epididymal surgery, orchidectomy, and female urological conditions.

Dr Isgro earned his Medical Degree from the University of Bologna in 2007 before completing higher specialist training in urology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He later completed advanced sub-specialty fellowship training in Newcastle upon Tyne. Dr Isgro achieved his specialist qualification as a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) in 2018 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2021. He holds active professional membership with the European Association of Urology (EAU).
