Dr Genevieve Thueux

Dr Genevieve Thueux is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert, empathetic care to infants, children, and young people. With a thorough, family-focused approach, Dr Thueux supports parents and caregivers through every stage of a child's development, from early developmental milestones to managing complex paediatric conditions. Her practice is built around listening carefully to families and creating a reassuring environment where young patients receive high-quality, personalised medical care.

Her clinical scope encompasses General Paediatrics and Acute Paediatrics, with a particular emphasis on paediatric preventative medicine. Dr Thueux actively promotes holistic health for young people, providing guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, and paediatric mental health. Alongside managing acute childhood illnesses and delivering practical advice on home-based first aid and injury management, she works extensively on service development and quality improvement projects designed to enhance patient safety and streamline healthcare delivery for young patients.

Dr Thueux completed her medical training at the University of Bristol, earning her MBChB. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), holds a Certificate in Medical Management and Leadership, and achieved her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2019. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Thueux serves as the Welsh representative on the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health National Health Services Committee. She is also deeply involved in medical education as an Honorary Lecturer, an Advanced Paediatric Life Support Instructor, and an Educational Supervisor.
