Dr Gemma Cummins is a highly dedicated Consultant Neurologist who provides expert care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. Her primary sub-speciality expertise lies in movement disorders, with a particular clinical focus on Parkinson's disease and advanced Parkinson's disease therapies. Dr Cummins is skilled in evaluating and managing both the motor and non-motor symptoms associated with movement disorders, including the complex cognitive and neuropsychiatric features that can impact a patient's daily life. In addition to her dedicated movement disorder work, she provides clinical consultations across general neurology and performs detailed neurological examinations to establish precise diagnoses and tailored treatment strategies.

Dr Cummins earned her medical degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She subsequently gained extensive clinical experience serving as a Neurology House Officer, Clinical Lecturer, and Registrar before completing higher specialty training in Neurology. To further enhance her expertise in complex movement disorders, she completed a post-Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) Senior Clinical Fellowship in Movement Disorders. Throughout her career, Dr Cummins has also contributed to clinical research focused on the cognitive and neuropsychiatric aspects of Parkinson's disease, maintaining a strong commitment to evidence-based patient care.
