Mr Fredric Willmott

Mr Fredric Willmott is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with fellowship training in gynaecological oncology. His practice encompasses benign gynaecology and the assessment of suspected gynaecological cancer, with particular expertise in colposcopy, hysteroscopy, vulval disease and minimal access surgery.

Mr Willmott is Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Clinical Director for Gynaecology at Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust. A member of the Barts Health gynaecological oncology multidisciplinary team, he also runs a joint vulval clinic at the Royal London Hospital. His private practice is based at The London Clinic, Nuffield Health The Holly Hospital and Bupa Health Care Canary Wharf.

His clinical expertise includes:

• Colposcopy: abnormal smears, colposcopy and LLETZ
• Hysteroscopy: diagnostic and operative, including polypectomy
• Menstrual and menopausal disorders: heavy and painful periods, endometrial ablation and HRT
• Vulval disease: assessment, biopsy and lesion excision
• Gynaecological surgery: laparoscopic, robotic and open hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy and adnexal surgery

Mr Willmott has published research in gynaecology and participates in the clinical education and supervision of medical trainees. His advanced training in medical education complements his clinical leadership responsibilities. He is associated with professional organisations including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy and the British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease.
