Dr Federico Minen

Dr Federico Minen is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Intensivist who specialises in providing comprehensive critical care to infants, children, and young people. With extensive clinical expertise in managing acute paediatric emergencies and complex organ support, Dr Minen is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care during critical moments of a child's health journey. His clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of acute medical conditions requiring prompt diagnosis, stabilisation, and advanced intensive care management.

Dr Minen completed his medical degree in Italy before undertaking specialist Paediatric training at the Paediatric Research Institute of Burlo Garofolo in Trieste, Italy, where he obtained his specialist qualification in 2012. Seeking to further refine his expertise in critical care, he completed advanced fellowship training as a Clinical Fellow and Senior Fellow in neonatology, paediatric intensive care, and paediatric cardiac intensive care across tertiary healthcare institutions. In addition, he completed his Initial Assessment of Competence in 2022, continuously advancing his clinical skills to ensure optimal patient safety and high standards of care.

Throughout his practice, Dr Minen has developed a strong clinical focus on paediatric neurocritical care, leading dedicated programmes aimed at improving outcomes for children facing severe neurological disease, acute encephalopathy, and traumatic brain injury. His areas of clinical interest also encompass the management of acute intoxication, paediatric cardiac critical care, sedation management, and multimodal neuromonitoring. Working closely alongside multidisciplinary teams, Dr Minen combines evidence-based medical treatment with a compassionate, reassuring approach to support young patients and their families.
